From now on, you have the pride and responsibility of wearing a unique and distinguished watch on your wrist, made from natural materials, with a hand-crafted and polished black ONYX California dial.
Our watches aim to bring personality, robustness, simplicity, and unique character to the wrists of their owners. Additionally, our watches obtain the necessary energy in an eco-friendly manner, without a battery, just from the movements of your wrist or by manual winding.

Setting up the watch
To set up your watch, follow these steps:
1. Turn the crown counterclockwise until it is out of the thread. You will hear a small “click.” This position is called the rest/charge position. At this point, you can wind your watch to bring it to life by turning the crown clockwise. About 40 turns of the crown can be consider a full charge, although the watch will continue to charge by itself while you wear it, with the natural movement of your wrist.
2. To set the time, slowly pull the crown from the rest/charge position until you hear a small “click.” Then, pull it again until you hear another small “click.” At this point, you can move the hands of the watch to the desired time. We recommend always moving the hands clockwise.
3. Afterward, it is necessary to close and screw the crown back in. To do this, gently press the crown to the rest/charge position and turn the crown clockwise, pressing lightly to screw it in.
Note: To ensure the watch’s water resistance, the crown must always be screwed in. Please, be sure that you don´t do any of the actions above underwater.
Dial
The dial of the ROMEO-01 is handcrafted and finished using black ONYX blocks, which are gradually reduced and polished until they reach the ideal size for mounting in the watch case.
Its design is inspired by aircraft altimeters, using a commonly known (among watch enthusiasts), California dial.
The hands and indices are coated with green Super-Luminova C3 luminescent paint. For greater contrast and visual appeal, the oversized number 0 uses blue Super-Luminova BGW9 coating. This luminescent pigment is recharged with sunlight or artificial light. These phosphorescent pigments maintain their properties and can be recharged as many times as necessary.
Crystal
The ROMEO-01 is equipped with a sapphire crystal, with an anti-reflective treatment on the inner side to improve readability.
With a Mohs hardness of 9, the sapphire crystal is the hardest crystal, extremely resistant to scratches. Only diamond, with a Mohs hardness of 10, would be able to scratch the crystal.
Additionally, the sapphire crystal is less sensitive to impacts than mineral glass.
Case
RED uses a 43mm case made of 316L stainless steel, with a screw-down caseback for the ROMEO-01.
This type of steel is robust, time-resistant, and hypoallergenic. It is commonly referred to as surgical steel because, thanks to its extraordinary qualities, it is the material used in the manufacture of surgical instruments.
The case of the ROMEO-01 has a water resistance of 10 bar (100m). This level of water resistance allows the user to wear the watch in the water.
To ensure this water resistance, it is necessary that the watch crown is always screwed in and not manipulated underwater or when the watch is wet.
Movement
The ROMEO-01 is equipped with a Japanese automatic mechanical movement with manual winding.
The Seiko-NH35A caliber, has been selected for its exceptional combination of reliability and performance. It features 24 jewels, operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour, and has the “Magic Lever” that starts the movement with a simple lateral motion of the watch. Additionally, it is equipped with the “Diashock” anti-shock system, ideal for your most active days.
With a full charge, the mechanism achieves a power reserve (watch running without being worn) of 41 hours.
This mechanism also has the hacking function, which stops the seconds hand for more precise time setting.
Accessories
The ROMEO-01 comes with two official RED straps. These straps, with the brand’s logo engraved on the buckle, give the watch two completely different styles, allowing you to switch them as you like.
The straps are equipped with a quick-release system, which allows the user to change the straps without any tools. To remove/attach the strap, you only need to push down with your fingernail on the round metal piece that protrudes from the back of the strap.
Regarding the materials, we chose a soft petroleum blue leather strap with cream stitching, and a military-style green cordura fabric strap with a soft leather-like texture on the inside.
As these are natural materials, the colors may vary slightly.

Maintenance Tips:
1. We advise cleaning the watch case regularly, especially after contact with salt water. The best way to do this is to clean it with a toothbrush, some warm soapy water, and then dry it with a soft cloth.
2. For strap maintenance, we recommend avoiding contact with grease, water, and humidity, and not exposing them to excessive sunlight to preserve their natural properties for longer.
3. Avoid direct contact of the watch and straps with solvents, cleaning products, cosmetics, perfumes, etc. These products could damage the case, straps, and seals.
4. Do not place the watch on devices that emit high magnetic fields.
5. As much as possible, avoid exposing the watch to temperatures above 60°C and below -5°C. While wearing the watch, body heat will prevent extreme temperature variations.
6. Like any mechanical watch, RED watches require regular maintenance. The need for maintenance depends greatly on usage, climate, and the care taken by the user.
